![]() ![]() Probably the highest compliment that can be paid to "Jericho" is that it adds a crucial new wrinkle to Dick's entire character arc. Finally we get the hows and whys of that situation, and the payoff is worth the wait. We know coming into this episode that Jericho probably died five years ago and his blood is on Dick Grayson's hands. Unfocused or not, this season's structure has at least managed to build on the mystery of Jericho's fate and create a sense of tension. It's amazing how much a smaller cast and a more focused narrative can do. ![]() Obviously, this isn't going to be a permanent solution, but I do hope the writers take a long, hard look at the execution of Season 2, why Episode 8 succeeds as well as it does and work to streamline the series going forward. "Jericho" succeeds in addressing that issue with the overcrowded cast by travelling back to a simpler time in the team's history when there weren't quite so many moving parts to juggle. The fact that this comes even as the series returns to its ongoing flashback storyline is no mistake. ![]()
